Straight answers
Is the CRACX Ascend a chalk bag or a chalk bucket?
Both — and then some. It's an oversized roll-top chalk bucket with the capacity of a full bouldering gear bag: it swallows your chalk supply, climbing shoes, brushes and tape, then compresses down when you travel light. One bag that adapts to your session instead of the other way around.
Does the roll-top really keep chalk dust in?
Yes. The dust-tight roll-top closure seals chalk inside the bag, so your car, your gear and your hands stay clean on the way to and from the wall. The quick-release buckle opens in one second when you reach the boulder.
Is it built for outdoor climbing or just the gym?
Both. Tear-resistant ripstop nylon on top, abrasion-resistant woven nylon on the base — it shrugs off rocky ground, gym floors and trunk life. Indoor bouldering, outdoor sport, trad approaches: one climbing gear bag for all of it.
How do I carry it?
Three ways, zero compromises: an adjustable padded crossbody strap for the approach, a reinforced top handle for grab-and-go between problems, and a rear bungee system that lashes a jacket or rope outside when the inside is full.
