Free Climbing Tools
Small, fast tools for boulderers — the ones we kept wanting on our own phones between attempts. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

Everything we've written, in the order it becomes useful. Four phases, one page, no course and no email wall.
Start hereWhich one do you need?
Six tools, six different questions. Pick by the one you are actually asking:
- Brand new to this? Your first 90 days, then come back for the rest.
- Stuck at a grade? The pyramid builder — it finds the tier you skipped.
- Reading a European topo? The converter.
- Wondering how hard a grade really is? What every V-grade feels like.
- First trip outside coming up? The reality check, so the grade drop doesn't ambush you.
- Buying a bag? The size calculator.
Why we give these away
We sell one thing: a bouldering chalk bucket. That's it. Everything else we make — these tools, the guides in Field Notes — is free, ungated, and stays that way. No email wall, no trial, no "unlock the full version".
The honest reason: we're a new brand and nobody has heard of us. Building something climbers actually use is a better way to earn attention than buying it. The self-interested version is that some of you will eventually need a chalk bucket. Both are true.
What we're building next
One tool at a time, in the order they'd be useful. If there's a calculation or a chart you keep redoing on your phone in the gym, tell us — that is how most of these got picked.
Made by climbers, for climbers — here's who we are.
